Moscow has rejected the latest US peace proposals for Ukraine, highlighting the lack of significant progress in Donald Trump's promise to end the war. Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated his uncompromising stance, stating that the Kremlin will not agree to a ceasefire without its demands being met.

Russia Cannot Accept the US Peace Plan for Ukraine ‘in Its Current Form’
Foreign policy adviser Sergei Ryabkov said the US-proposed plan fails to address Russia’s key concerns.

“We take the models and solutions proposed by the Americans very seriously, but we cannot accept them in their current form,” Ryabkov stated.

The Kremlin’s statement came after Trump expressed frustration with Putin and threatened to impose tariffs on Russian oil exports.

Putin has set the following conditions for ending hostilities:

Ukraine must recognize Crimea and four occupied southeastern regions as Russian territory.

Kyiv must withdraw its forces from these areas.

Ukraine must guarantee that it will not join NATO.

Demilitarization of Ukraine’s armed forces is required.

Additionally, Putin has questioned the legitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and claimed that Ukraine requires "external governance."

The White House has stated that Trump is frustrated with both sides of the war.

Russian representative Grigory Karasin admitted that no significant progress has been made, and negotiations could drag on until 2026.
