Saida Mirziyoyeva Appointed Managing Director of Tashkent International Financial Centre

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed Presidential Administration Head Saida Shavkatovna Mirziyoyeva as manager of the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC), in addition to her current position. The presidential decree was announced by presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov.

In her new role, Mirziyoyeva will serve as Secretary General of the Financial Centre Council, organize the formation of its agenda and chair Council meetings in the absence of the chairperson.

A key responsibility will be coordinating the launch of the TIFC, including preparing priority documents and establishing cooperation between government bodies and the centre’s structures.

The manager will also represent the Financial Centre in relations with international organizations, investors and partners in Uzbekistan and abroad. Her responsibilities include personnel decisions, including the appointment of the Executive Director of the Financial Centre Administration and deputies, as well as submitting recommendations on the leadership of the Financial Services Department.

The manager is also authorized to conclude agreements, establish working groups and engage experts.

In July, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the constitutional law on the TIFC. The centre will operate under special legal and currency regimes, with a separate financial regulator and an independent commercial court. Participants will also receive tax benefits until 2076.
