An extraordinary session of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies is underway, attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state, Sherzod Asadov.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev: It is necessary to minimise the impact of the global situation on the economy and incomes of Uzbekistan
At the beginning of his speech, the head of state noted that we live in complex and dangerous times, with conflicts in the Middle East and unresolved issues with our key partners, including the escalating international situation due to a horrific terrorist attack in Podmoskovye.

It was emphasized that in such challenging conditions, one of the most important tasks is to reduce the negative impact on our economy and the income of the population. It was noted that to achieve this goal, it is necessary to fully utilise the available opportunities to strengthen the economic foundation of local communities and increase people's incomes.

Additionally, the President pointed out the untapped opportunities in the capital. In particular, it was noted that new projects could be implemented through the auctioning of 979 land plots and the allocation of 175 hectares of land to entrepreneurs, transferred from agricultural to industrial-settlement category.
