At the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the historical significance of this event, which will bring trilateral cooperation in the energy sector to a new qualitative level.

The President of Uzbekistan thanked the leaders of Kazakhstan and Russia for their personal support to the realization of this project. He expressed special gratitude to the specialists who in the shortest possible time were engaged in the organization of gas supply, reconstruction of sections of the main gas pipeline, modernization of compressor stations and construction of the new “Beineu” gas metering station.

It was noted that the start of importing Russian gas in reverse mode is of strategic importance for Uzbekistan. This project is a big step forward in ensuring energy security of our country, diversifying sources of guaranteed supplies of "blue fuel", compensating seasonal disbalances in consumption, providing the population with reliable and uninterrupted gas and electricity, and thus additional volumes of energy resources.

Confidence was expressed that the realization of this major project and its results will serve to further strengthen the relations between the three countries.
