During the talks, the parties noted that cooperation between the supreme audit institutions of the two countries has been developing steadily. The previously signed memorandum of cooperation plays an important role in strengthening ties and expanding the exchange of experience and joint initiatives.

Participants emphasized that analytical and control studies conducted by the audit bodies are closely linked with parliamentary activities. Using the results of such analyses helps strengthen parliamentary oversight and ensure the effective implementation of government programs.

Particular attention was paid to issues related to the formation of state and regional budgets based on analytical results, the development of preventive recommendations to avoid shortcomings, and the digitalization of financial control systems.

The sides also discussed the development of preventive mechanisms aimed at combating corruption.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation and expand the exchange of experience between the parliaments and audit institutions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
