From July 15, 2024, the Thai government officially introduced visa-free entry into Thailand for up to 60 days for citizens of Uzbekistan and 92 other countries, Dunyo news agency reports.

According to the Consulate General of our country, previously the number of states whose citizens could enter Thailand without a visa was 57; China, India, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were added to the list of 36 countries.

The new regime applies to visitors to Thailand through all border posts.

The introduction of this regime was carried out unilaterally by the Thai government in order to stimulate the economy and may be canceled in the future.

According to the Thai Foreign Ministry, negotiations are currently ongoing to develop an intergovernmental agreement on a mutual visa-free regime between Uzbekistan and Thailand.

Until July 15, citizens of Uzbekistan could obtain a 15-day tourist visa on arrival at the airport for US$60.
