The G20 Summit is Taking Place in Rio de Janeiro

On November 18-19, the G20 Summit will be held in Rio de Janeiro under the theme "One Earth - One Family - One Future," with the participation of over 40 countries.
The G20 is an intergovernmental forum that unites the world's largest economies.
The G20 members include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, the African Union, and the European Union.
Spain is invited as a permanent guest to this G20 summit.
For reference, the previous G20 summit was held in 2023 in New Delhi, under India's G20 presidency.
The topics to be discussed include:
Russia's war against Ukraine;
Strong and sustainable growth and development goals;
Climate and environmental issues;
Digital transition;
Gender equality.
They are also expected to welcome the African Union as a permanent member of the G20.
At the conclusion of the summit, a final declaration will be adopted, according to the European Council.
