British Expert: Uzbekistan — the New Leader in World Boxing
Uzbekistan's boxing team continues to reaffirm its status as a global leader in amateur boxing. Five gold medals at the Paris Olympics and a triumphant performance by the team's "second lineup" at the Asian Championship in Thailand showcase the exceptional preparation and professionalism of Uzbek boxers.

British boxing expert Taylor O’Higgins highlighted the key factors behind the team's success in an interview with Sportarena.kz. Among them are the high-caliber coaching staff led by Tulkin Kilichev and the intense internal competition that drives athletes to continually improve.

"Boxers who didn't make it to the main Olympic team are achieving excellent results in other tournaments. For instance, Adhamjon Mukhiddinov and Havasbek Asadullaev demonstrated outstanding boxing at the Asian Championship, even though they weren't the main contenders for the Olympics. Internal competition is the key to constant growth," noted O’Higgins.

The expert also acknowledged the role of random factors such as draws and refereeing decisions but emphasized that systematic work and professionalism remain the foundation of Uzbekistan's success on the international stage.
