The Uzbekistan FM will join the SCO Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Astana

During his visit to Astana on May 20-21, the Uzbekistan delegation led by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Sayidov will take part in the meeting of the SCO Foreign Ministers' Council, according to the spokesperson of the Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry, Akhror Burkhanov.

"The Uzbek delegation headed by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov will be in Kazakhstan's capital Astana on 20-21 May. During the visit it is planned to take part in the regular meeting of the SCO Foreign Ministers' Council and hold bilateral talks," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, the heads of foreign ministries will discuss the current state and future prospects of the organization's development, as well as pertinent international and regional issues. The focus will be on preparations for the upcoming SCO Heads of State Council meeting scheduled for July 3-4 in Astana. The discussion will concentrate on substantive preparations for the meeting with the aim of improving the organization's performance in contemporary conditions.
