Trump ends longest government shutdown in U.S. history by signing temporary budget
The measure restores normal government operations and provides short-term funding for federal agencies until the end of January.

The 43-day shutdown surpassed the previous record set in 2018–2019. It stemmed from a budget impasse between the White House and Congress over spending priorities, including immigration policy and national security.

The temporary budget allows federal workers to receive back pay and enables government services to resume full operation.
