Trump to Make Final Decision on Russia-Ukraine War
Steven Uitkoff, the U.S. President’s special envoy, visited Moscow and provided Washington with information about the talks with Russian officials. This was reported by Michael Waltz, the U.S. National Security Advisor, in an interview with Fox News on Thursday, March 13.

"I spoke with my colleague, Special Envoy Uitkoff. He is there now, and we need to assess the situation objectively, while President Trump will determine the next steps," Waltz said.

According to him, the details of the negotiations have not yet been disclosed. However, Washington views the possibility of resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine with "cautious optimism."

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he was willing to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine under certain conditions. He insisted on "eliminating the initial causes of the crisis," as well as ensuring that Ukraine could not rearm or conduct additional mobilization during the truce.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Putin’s statements "predictable" and "manipulative."

"He is essentially preparing to reject the offer," Zelensky said in his video address. "Putin is afraid to tell President Trump directly that he wants to continue this war and kill Ukrainians. That’s why they are dressing up the idea of a ceasefire in Moscow with such conditions, so that nothing works out at all or so that the process is delayed as long as possible."

According to NBC News, Donald Trump removed his special representative for Russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, from the Moscow negotiations at Russia’s request due to his "pro-Ukrainian stance."
