Ukraine may face a shortage of electricity in winter.

Ukrainians started to prepare for blackouts
The director-general of the Ukrainian energy company Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, has urged the country's residents to prepare for 12-hour blackouts due to the difficult energy situation in the country. This was reported by the Telegram channel Strana.ua.

"My baseline forecast is that the power system will have a deficit in the region of 30-35 per cent. What does this mean for consumers? If critical infrastructure is healed and then the rest will be distributed, the deficit for consumers will be 50 per cent. That is, the basic forecast is 12 hours without light," he said, specifying that the final forecast can be made in August. Then it will be clear how many destroyed power plants will be restored by the cold weather.

It should be noted that on 25 June, four Ukrainian regions - Chernihiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, and Sumy - were partially without power due to damage to the energy infrastructure.
