US planning to station nuclear weapons in UK
The Telegraph found documents from the US Ministry of Defence on a government procurement website posted this week and August 2023. They state the need to purchase ballistic defence equipment and hydraulic ramps in preparation for an upcoming nuclear mission in the UK. The Pentagon, Britain's Ministry of Defence and the prime minister's office declined to comment.

Under US plans, the nuclear warheads would be deployed at the Lakenheath military base in the English county of Suffolk. It is known that the US will deploy two squadrons of F-35A fighter-bombers there, which could mean 54 aircraft capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons.
