Uzbekistan and Russia Expand Cooperation

On February 11, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Russian delegation led by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia. The discussions focused on developing trade and economic ties, industrial cooperation, and workforce training.

During the meeting, Maxim Oreshkin conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Mirziyoyev. The parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the Russian leader’s visit to Uzbekistan in May last year.

Key attention was given to strengthening economic partnerships, expanding e-commerce, industrial cooperation, and collaboration in water management, higher education, engineering specialties, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, the prospects for cultural and sports exchanges were discussed.

The talks reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint projects in key areas.
