Uzbekistanis in Turkey are being lured into criminal schemes
According to the Consulate, fraudsters are offering Uzbek citizens to act as intermediaries in the illegal transfer of migrants to the European Union, in particular, to Greece. Turkish authorities are actively combating such crimes, and foreigners involved in them are severely punished, up to long prison terms.

Citizens are strongly advised not to engage in dubious schemes and to comply with the country's laws. In recent years, European states have intensified the fight against illegal migration by strengthening control at borders and introducing stricter punishments for violators.
