Belgium has no backup plan if Hungary decides to block the allocation of a 50bn-euro aid package to Kiev. This was stated by Belgian Finance Minister Vincent van Petegem in an interview with Bloomberg.

EU has no plan in case Hungary blocks financial aid to Kiev
At the upcoming extraordinary summit next week, all EU countries, with the exception of Hungary, are ready to confirm funding for Kiev. If Budapest protests, it could be barred from voting on the issue as an EU member and the decision will be made without its participation.

Asked whether the EU has an alternative plan if Hungary blocks the allocation of aid from the EU budget, the minister said that there is no backup plan at the moment. "I think we have many alternatives that we have to work on," he added.
