Eurasian Development Bank to Open Office in Tashkent

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), Nikolay Podguzov, to discuss the expansion of cooperation between the two parties.

Podguzov highlighted Uzbekistan as one of EDB’s key partners in the region and announced that several large countries would soon join the bank's shareholders.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to launch joint projects worth a total of $3.3 billion, with 5 non-sovereign projects to be implemented this year.

Additionally, the EDB plans to open a country office in Tashkent by the end of the year, which is expected to accelerate project financing and further strengthen collaboration.
