Residents of Uzbekistan will be able to use the instant payment system, which was previously available only to businesses. This was reported by the Central Bank of the republic. Now, money transfers can be made at any time of the day, including weekends and holidays - quickly, conveniently, and without restrictions.
Previously, the system was used only by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. However, considering the high demand and desire to create a modern digital environment, the Central Bank decided to expand the platform's functionality for the population as well.
It is expected that with the launch of the service for individuals, it will be significantly easier to pay for utilities, transfer funds to relatives, and pay for goods and services in one tap.
In 2024, 48 million operations worth over 917 trillion soums were carried out through the platform, a 50% increase compared to the previous year.
The Central Bank also promised that the transfer tariffs would be reasonable to avoid creating additional financial burden on users and ensure healthy competition in the market.
