Israeli authorities release 114 Palestine prisoners

Israel has released 114 Palestinian prisoners, including four women, through the Kerem Shalom checkpoint, the Palestinian Information Centre reported on social media. Additional details were not specified.
According to a 1 February report by Al-Hadath TV, new terms for the hostage exchange were discussed at a recent meeting in Paris. The militants agreed to a phased release of the Palestinians.
Earlier, the Axios newspaper, citing sources, reported that Israel offered Hamas the following plan: the militants will return all Israeli hostages held in Gaza (about 130 people), and in return the Israelis will release Palestinians from prisons. According to the publication, Israel is ready to release an indefinite number of Palestinians from its prisons, but stressed that it would not agree to the full release of all 6,000 Palestinian prisoners.
