The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, plans to visit Uzbekistan on an official state visit in the near future. This information was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Sanzhar Bolotov.
"The upcoming meeting between the two presidents will be an important moment in strengthening the friendly ties between our countries, embodying a shared commitment to developing neighbourly and mutually beneficial relations," the deputy minister said at the opening of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz business forum in Bishkek.
He reminded attendees of the plans to increase bilateral trade turnover to 2 billion dollars, calling this goal "ambitious but achievable."
It is worth noting that the construction of the railway along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan route will begin in August this year. The new route will allow goods to be delivered to Europe 7-8 days faster than the current timeline. With the help of this railway, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan plan to integrate into global trade.
