In Uzbekistan, priority is given to modernizing the automotive and mechanical engineering industries and enhancing their competitiveness and efficiency.

The Nurafshon Maxsus Texnika enterprise was established on a 25.8-hectare site as part of a $50 million project. Under the KRANTAS brand, it manufactures special-purpose vehicles, military equipment, and various types of machinery, providing permanent employment for more than 300 qualified specialists.

The equipment and technologies used in production are supplied from the United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Russia, China, and Türkiye.

To date, the enterprise has produced around 2,500 tons of metal structures, more than 300 vehicle superstructures, over 200 chassis, and 20 tractors. Last year, it delivered equipment and machinery worth 275 billion soums to customers.

The enterprise is expanding the production of import-substituting products. As part of its further development, a new plant is planned on a 10-hectare site in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent. This will enable the localization of production worth $15–18 million annually.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the production processes, finished products, and modern technological solutions. During a conversation with industry officials and engineers, the discussion focused on expanding localization, strengthening industrial cooperation, and increasing the production of high-value-added products.
