Seven Uzbeks died and two were injured when a minibus carrying Uzbek citizens was involved in a road accident in Russia's Penza Oblast on 11 January. According to the Emergencies Ministry, one of the injured citizens also died on the morning of 12 January in a hospital in Penza, despite treatment by doctors.
The bodies of 8 Uzbek citizens who died in a road accident in Penza region of Russia have been delivered to Urgench. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It is noted that in accordance with the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a working group headed by the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations was established by government order, which yesterday, January 12, arrived in Penza region, where it met with the heads of the responsible departments of Russia and on the basis of cooperation, organisational and practical actions were carried out. After that, the special aircraft left Russia and landed at Urgench International Airport in the Khorezm region at 06:50 on 13 January.
In co-operation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Transport, the bodies of 8 deceased citizens were sent to their residential addresses. At present, the local authorities are making preparations for the funeral.
"Another 1 victim is in a hospital in Penza city, he will be returned to Uzbekistan after treatment is completed. At present, the hospitalised citizen is under strict medical supervision and is undergoing appropriate treatment," the report said.
