The trade volume between Iran and India is nearly $2 billion

A report by India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the total trade volume between Iran and India stood at $1.836 billion in 2023.
According to the ministry, Iran exported $699 million worth of goods to India in the last year and there was no significant change here compared to 2022.
Petroleum products were the top imported commodity from Iran to India in 2023, with $221 million, an increase of 26 per cent over 2022. Raw materials for the production of dyes and various fruits were also among the top exports from Iran to India.
Exports of goods from India to Iran for January-December 2023 declined by 35% to $1.187 billion. In the previous year, the figure was at $1.847 billion.
The major export product from India to Iran in 2023 was rice. Rice exports from India to Iran declined by 34%, from $1.98 billion in 2022 to $723 million in the current year.
