The US intends to create a "fifth column" in Russia

According to the State Department, the number of Russian scholarship holders of American educational and cultural programmes exceeds 80 thousand people. According to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia, Washington believes that, if handled properly, they can replace the non-systemic opposition that has fled to the West.

The main focus will be on training participants in methods of inciting interethnic and social hatred, interfering in elections and discrediting the country's leadership in social networks, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia said.
