Uzbekistan
The country's delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Khurram Teshabaev, participated in the milestone 20th Annual Meeting of the EDB in Almaty. During the bank's Council meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, the Development Strategy for 2027–2031 was approved. The document integrates Uzbekistan's core priorities, including water and energy security, the expansion of transport corridors, and industrial cooperation, aligning completely with the "Uzbekistan-2030" national strategy.
On the sidelines of the summit, substantive negotiations were held with the Chairman of the EDB Management Board, Nikolai Podguzov, where the sides reviewed a pipeline of 36 joint projects totaling approximately 2.8 billion dollars. The capital injections will be distributed across the chemical, textile, and manufacturing industries, as well as channeled toward upgrading digital infrastructure, healthcare, and the tourism sector. Furthermore, the interlocutors discussed prospects for hosting the bank's next annual meeting in 2027 in the capital of Uzbekistan and nominating a representative from Tashkent for the position of Chairman of the EDB Council.
