А meeting took place in Istanbul between Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov and Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The meeting emphasized the significant growth in cultural relations between the two countries in recent years.
During the talks, it was noted that the collaboration between Uzbekistan and Turkey, within international organizations such as UNESCO and TURKSOY, has greatly strengthened their cultural ties. Turkey's consistent support for Uzbekistan's initiatives on the global stage highlights the strategic importance of this partnership.
Ozodbek Nazarbekov mentioned the active participation of Turkish experts in international events held in Uzbekistan, such as the "Sharq Taronalari" music festival in Samarkand. "This participation is a testament to our strong cultural relationship," he said.
Several proposals were put forward to further enhance cooperation, including the first joint cultural commission meeting in Samarkand, a tour by the famous Turkish music group “Anadolu Atesi,” and the installation of a monument to Jaloliddin Manguberdi in Diyarbakir.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Roadmap for 2024-2026, which aims to further deepen the cultural collaboration between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
