The Uzbekistan national team has secured four spots for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, ensuring participation in alpine skiing and short track events.
Following the qualifications, the quotas were earned by: Dmitry Chigiryov and Ekaterina Geynish in pair figure skating, Medet Nazarov in slalom and giant slalom alpine skiing, and Daniil Eybog in the 500-meter short track.
However, Dmitry Chigiryov will miss the competitions due to an injury. As a result, the Uzbekistan team will compete only in alpine skiing and short track.
This participation marks another step in developing winter sports in Uzbekistan and highlights the country’s growing presence on the international stage.
