Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video selector meeting on the comprehensive support of entrepreneurship took place, where the results of the current year and the main plans for 2025 were discussed. The work carried out in 2023 and the plans for 2025 were reviewed.
Today, the development of entrepreneurship is a strategic task for the country, and reforms in this area are being implemented from the central level down to the local communities. Local authorities are expected to engage closely with entrepreneurs and focus on solving their problems. In addition, public councils are playing the role of a bridge between the state and entrepreneurs.
In 2023, important laws, decrees, and resolutions concerning entrepreneurship were adopted. Significant agreements were signed as part of the process of joining the World Trade Organization, and issues related to border infrastructure were resolved. For example, border posts in the Andijan region that had been closed for 13 years were reopened, which shortened the distance for entrepreneurs by 100 kilometers.
In 2025, additional border posts will be constructed and favorable financial conditions will be created for entrepreneurs. The stable growth of the economy is being ensured through the increase in investments and the work of banks.
In the coming year, the share of credits allocated to small businesses will be increased, the tourism sector will further develop, and export opportunities will be expanded. The government’s goal is to increase domestic production to 120 billion dollars, exports to 30 billion dollars, and investments to 42 billion dollars by 2025.
