In July, Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $1.06 billion, reaching a record $37.4 billion. This growth is attributed to the accumulation and rising value of gold.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, as of August 1, official reserves stood at $37.4 billion (+2.9%). In July, the physical volume of gold reserves increased by 9.64 tons, bringing the total to 374.8 tons.

The value of the gold reserves grew by $1.8 billion, reaching $29.16 billion. In July, gold prices rose from $2325 to $2445.76 per ounce.

The reserves also include $35.3 million in US Treasury bonds. The Central Bank has begun diversifying its reserves by purchasing government bonds from foreign countries.
